From January 30 to March 29, 2025, we will showcase four exceptional films by acclaimed Lebanese director Nadine Labaki. Renowned as one of the most influential female Arab filmmakers, Labaki is celebrated for breaking stereotypes and addressing sensitive themes such as religion and women’s roles in society with poetic finesse.

In 2007, she debuted with Caramel, a heartfelt and humorous exploration of the everyday lives of five Lebanese women. Her second film, Where Do We Go Now? (2011), delves into religious tensions between Christians and Muslims in a small village. Premiering at the Cannes Film Festival, the film received numerous international awards.
